The maximum speed is limited to 203 mph. In addition to its reworked engine, the car also features a number of bespoke systems for an unrivaled driving experience. Thus, the lightweight aluminum suspension brings all the benefits of adaptive shocks controlled by proactive damping software. Its steering and braking systems also have new 2020 McLaren GT parts. In addition, the exhaust system was tuned to make a bass-heavy sound often associated with grand tourers.

Inside, the supercar has a long list of the latest high-tech convenience, entertainment, and safety options. Unlike most other luxury sports cars, the new McLaren has no carbon fiber or wood used for interior trim. Instead of those materials, it offers to choose from two kinds of hides and cashmere. The interior is all about luxury with its standard Nappa leather trim and upholstery and numerous distinctive accessories. The softer hide is also available. In addition, the interior can be upgraded to cashmere. The dashboard design is dominated by clean lines. The 2020 GT also has the latest infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display. Three interior options are available to choose from, each of which has its own list of options. In addition, the automaker offers some optional packages to upgrade the GT inside and out. For instance, the MSO Gloss Black Carbon Fiber Pack includes a front splitter, door mirror casings, and lower rear bumper & diffuser. As the name of that package suggests all parts are made of carbon fiber.
