TECHNOLOGY. Pirelli’s Self-Sealing tyres are made up of a material that forms a sealing layer, which is placed inside the tyre in the area corresponding to the tread pattern. The material tightly blocks every possible air leakage in the event of a puncture that passes through the tyre, with or without an external object still present
APPLICATION. The Seal Inside Technology does not need dedicated rims and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) to be used safely on a vehicle; it can be used on any kind of vehicle depending on the tyre size
MATERIAL. The Seal Inside tyre deals immediately with the hole and, in most cases, its fast and effective action means that the driver won’t even realize that the tyre has been punctured
Phase 1. The sealing mastic sticks to the object causing the puncture, creating a seal around the object if it remains in the tyre.
Phase 2. When the object is removed from the tyre, the sealing mastic is "drawn" by the object into the hole, sealing the edges of the hole.
