Dated Oil
Item was boxed and shipped just fine. The issue I have with CARiD is that when it was delivered the oil was bottled in April 2017. Now according to totals website (link here: https://www.lubricants.total.com/does-motor-oil-expire) oil should not be used if 2 years old. I change my oil every 5 thousand miles which averages to about every 6 months. I know people will tell you oil is oil but that is not what actually does the work when inside the motor...its the additives in the oil that make or break the oil. I think better inventory control to ensure the oil shipped will perform as it is supposed too and not expire. This particular oil is good up to 10k miles or once a year oil change but that has to be under the right conditions and I think shipping oil that is going to expire within 3 months is not the right condition. If I was CARiD I would know the specs on the oil itself and make sure that when given to the customer the product would be allowed to perform to its standard.
